Products imported into Russia are subject to customs duty if they cost over 200 euros or weigh over 31 kg.
If the parcel’s cost exceeds the duty-free threshold, the customer must make a customs payment:
- If the product is delivered to the pick-up point or by courier, the customer pays the customs duty only when placing an order on Ozon. No further payments required.
- If the product is delivered by Russian Post, the customer pays the customs duty upon receipt at the pick-up point.
The customs payment includes:
- customs duty: 15% of the excess amount;
- customs fee: 500 rubles.
To keep the product competitive with the new duty-free threshold, you can offer customers a discount that adjusts the product price.
