Disposal of Damaged Products

Table of Contents

If products are damaged due to your FBP partner fault during warehouse operations, storage, or transportation, they’re considered defective.

In this case, the partner:

  • disposes of such products at their own expense;
  • pays you compensation;
  • prepares closing documents with a list of disposed products.

You can refuse disposal and remove the products from the warehouse.

Find out which products are disposed of

The FBP partner notifies you about the product disposal:

  • via e-mail;
  • phone;
  • notification in your account.

To check the communication channel, contact the FBP warehouse.

Product disposal

The disposal is handled by the FBP partner or a contractor company:

  1. The partner notifies you about the disposal, requests your consent for it, and agrees on the compensation amount. You can refuse disposal and arrange for the removal of the damaged products from the FBP warehouse within 30 days. If you don’t respond to the partner notification or don’t remove the products on time, they get disposed of.
  2. The partner either disposes of the products themselves or transfers them to a contractor company.
  3. The partner provides a report with a list of disposed products. You can request a photo or video report of the product disposal and reports for previous periods.

Get compensation for product disposal

Compensation for damaged and disposed products is paid by the FBP partner. Ozon doesn’t pay compensation and doesn’t set its amount.

The compensation amount depends on when the products are damaged:

  • Before a customer places an order: the compensation corresponds to the product cost at procurement. You must provide documents confirming the product cost.

  • After a customer places an order: the compensation is equal to the price you set on the PDP.
