Chat Safety and Security Guidelines

Safety and security guidelines

To avoid becoming a victim of scammers in chat, follow the guidelines:

  • Pay attention to the Customer and Support tags — they are always displayed in the chats. For example, if you see a chat from the name “Ozon Support” but the tag is Customer — it’s scammers.
  • Conduct correspondence only in the Ozon chat and do not switch to other messengers, even if the message from the opponent sounds very convincing and the username in the messenger resembles Ozon support. We always contact sellers only via the chat in the account and the Ozon Seller app.
  • Do not click on links to unknown websites, and if you have, do not fill out or upload anything.
  • Do not share your personal details if the other party has the Customer tag. They can be requested only by Ozon support.
  • Do not share your account password. If you are signing in using Ozon ID, do not forward the confirmation code.
  • Do not add external accounts to your company profile.

If you encounter fraud

In the chat with the customer, click Confirm, if you have:

  • provided scammers with the account data;
  • added a third-party account to the company profile;
  • shared personal details.

File also a complaint if the customer:

  • pretends to be support;
  • requests personal details not related to the order;
  • is trying to gain access to your account.
