Brand Account Registration

You can register a brand account if:

  • You are the copyright holder, the exclusive licensee, the representative of the copyright holder or the exclusive licensee by attorney.

  • The brand is registered on the territory of the Russian Federation in the national or international intellectual property system.

  • The brand belongs to the 1–34 class of the Nice Classification, which means that you work with products and don’t provide services.

  • Your trademark consists of a word or a word and an image.

If you’re already selling on Ozon, add the brand documents. After that, you can switch to the brand account and monitor the quality of brand products sold by other sellers.

How to add documents

If your company doesn’t have an account on Ozon, register as a representative. Note that:

  • each brand can have only one official representative and an unlimited number of sellers;
  • one company can represent an unlimited number of brands.

You don’t need to be a representative to sell brand products. Upload the documents that confirm your right to sell the products in the Brand documents section.

Register as a brand representative

Brand representatives don’t sell products, they only monitor their products on Ozon. To sell products, register both as a representative and a seller.

When filling out the company information, in the Scope of work field, select:

  • Product seller and Brand representative if you’re both a seller and a representative;

  • Brand representative if you aren’t going to sell products. If you want to start selling later, you’ll have to create a separate account.

Click Next, fill out the remaining fields and create an account. When everything is ready, specify the company details and add the brand documents.

Specify company details

After registration, click the widget in your account to fill out the remaining details. Otherwise, you can’t start working with the brand account.

Add the company details. Some fields are filled out automatically when you specify the Taxpayer Identification Number (INN). You can go back to the previous steps and correct the information. You can’t proceed to the next step until you fill out all the fields or if there are errors in the current step.

On the tabs:

  1. Fill out:

    • the organization type;
    • the company INN: check the number provided during registration;
    • the taxation system.
  2. Other details are fulfilled automatically, you don’t have to specify them. If not, check if the INN is correct and fill out:

    • The legal name of the organization: it’s indicated in the contract with Ozon.
    • The company Tax Registration Reason Code (KPP).
    • The сompany Primary State Registration Number (OGRN).
    • The CEO first and last name.
    • The CEO patronymic, if any. If the CEO doesn’t have a patronymic, leave the field empty.
  3. Add:

    • legal address: country, region, city, postal code, street, and building;
    • postal address: if it differs from the legal address, select Postal address is different from legal address and fill out the fields.
  4. Specify:

    • the company current account in a Russian bank;
    • BIC.
  5. Click Submit for approval.

We check your details within 15 minutes.

If there are errors, in the widget click Correct. If everything is correct, we notify you by email and send a notification to your account. After that, accept the offer for a brand representative.

Add brand representation documents

In your account, upload documents that confirm trademark ownership or protection. Only users with the “Manager” and “Administrator” roles can do it. Our quality specialists verify the documents and grant you access to the brand account.

To add documents:

  1. In the Settings → Brands section, open the Brand representative tab.

  2. Click Become an official representative.

  3. Fill out the fields:

  5. Click Send.

We consider the request within several days. Request statuses:

  • “Awaiting verification”: the request is pending moderation;
  • “Verification”: we are checking the brand information and submitted documents;
  • “Verified”: the documents are verified;
  • “Rejected”: you have to correct errors in the request or documents.

Why the request may be rejected

Document list

From Russia:

  • A trademark registration certificate or an extract from open sources of Rospatent or WIPO Madrid valid at the time of request submission.
  • An extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

From other countries whose trademark is valid in Russia:

  • A trademark registration certificate or an extract from open sources of Rospatent or WIPO Madrid valid at the time of request submission.
  • A notarized translation of an extract from the trade register of a foreign country. We might request the document with an apostille.

If we have doubts about the spelling of your brand name, we can additionally request a copy of the trademark registration request.

If the information about the copyright holder or licensees is hidden in Rospatent, we can request a certificate from Rospatent containing information about the copyright holder, the correspondence address, as well as information about the parties to the trademark use agreement.

Document requirements:

  • high-quality photos or scans: the text, seals and signatures should be clear and easy to read;
  • format: JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF;
  • the size of each file: up to 10 MB;
  • documents with no protection: we reject documents protected with a password.

How to submit a request to add a new brand

Request rejection reasons

The request can be rejected if:

  • You don’t meet the brand representation requirements.

  • You haven’t uploaded the trademark ownership or protection documents.

  • Your documents don’t clearly prove your right to own the trademark or protect it.

  • The trademark number is incorrect.
    How to specify the number

  • The set of documents is incomplete. For example, if we requested additional documents to confirm the representative status, but you haven’t provided them.

    In order for us to consider your request, you can attach an authorization letter filled out according to our template.

Find out rejection reason

In the Settings → Brands → Brand representation section, hover over the request with the “Rejected” status. On the hint, click Learn more or the brand name. In the “Moderator’s comment” field, you can see details on the document rejection reason.

To send the request again, click Edit request, correct the errors and save it. The request status changes to “Awaiting verification”.
