To avoid problems at customs, fill out the customs declaration correctly. This speeds up the return process.
You need a CN22 declaration for parcels and a CN23 declaration for shipments.
Filling out customs declaration
The customs declaration form has a standard set of fields for all delivery services.
- Read the customs declaration rules on the post’s website. If you return products by post, fill out the declaration during the shipment registration on the website or ask the post’s operator to fill it out for you.
- Specify the recipient’s details from the return request. If the recipient is specified in one word and the declaration form requires two words, duplicate the recipient’s name.
- Specify product return as a shipping category.
- Translate the product name into English.
Don’t describe products in general terms: clothes, shoes, or toys. Customs officers need to clearly understand from the description what’s inside.
For example:
- детская игрушка для ванной зелёная лягушка — kids bath toy green frog;
- мужские кожаные кроссовки — men’s leather sneakers.
- Specify the exact price of each product.
